Television has been constantly changing and developing since it started in the 1950s and so it has also been changing our living rooms. TV series, informational programmes and commercials are effecting our leisure activities, heating up political debates and enabling us to gain knowledge of interesting facts in the fields of science, culture, sports and art from all over the world.

The exhibition «Flimmerkiste – 60 Jahre Fernsehen zwischen Illusion und Wirklichkeit» is shedding light on the history of Swiss Television, it reminds us of its pioneering days and deals with illusion and reality of animated pictures.

Tweaklab has been commissioned with the media technical planning, developing especially for this exhibition LCD kits, which consist of 10 and 15 inch monitors with Raspberry players and which play back more than 150 film clips from the TV archive. The various films can be selected either via built-in pushbutton, other clips are automatically activated via a magnetic switch in the cover of the exhibition furniture. In addition to installing all the video stations Tweaklab also installed an auditory game that plays back jingles of wellknown programmes at the touch of a button, the names of which the audience has to guess.
