Teresa Hubbard/Alexander Birchler created the work "Flora", dedicated to "Flora Mayo", Giacometti’s acquaintance in his early years in Paris where they’ve studied together. The artists reconstruct and restage the life and work of Flora during her time in Paris. Furthermore, Flora’s son tells the story of his mother’s return to the US after 1933.
The projection, consisting of a front and a rear side, show on one side scenes of the life of Flora during her time in Paris and on the other side extracts of interviews. The viewers can follow the projections regardless from which side of the screen they stand.
Tweaklab was commissioned with the media technical planning and with the operation of the film installation.
