Collection Aargauer Kunsthaus DIY!
Aargauer Kunsthaus

As part of the development programm "Safari" run by the BKS Department of Cultural Education, the Aargauer Kunsthaus, in collaboration with the Vorkurs, Schule für Gestaltung in Aarau, has drawn up a concept for the public accessibility of its collections.
To this end, the works of art in the collection were digitally captured in a database. The students of the preliminary course now have the opportunity to compile their favourite works on tablets, for example in thematic compositions. The composition curated in this way is then displayed on the museum walls in their original size, by three video projectors.
A touchscreen stele is available for the public for putting together a personal exhibition. They can also display their composition in its original size in the museum room by clicking on it.
The compositions will be archived and at the end of March a winner project will be chosen and realized in the exhibition space with the original works.

Tweaklab was commissioned with the media technical planning, the programming of the entire application for the operation of the tablets and the touchscreen stele, as well as for the frontend and backend of the administrators and the installation.
