Hoher Kasten, Appenzell

On the Hoher Kasten, a preeminent panoramic mountain, the world sits at the visitor's feet. The 360° panorama is unique and leaves a long-lasting impression. The tunnel path, which leads from the cable car to the revolving restaurant, has been redesigned and updated with a new, comfortable inclined elevator. The path is illuminated with a mysterious, colorful light show, accompanied by mystical sounds.
This transcendental production is now called the "Magic Mountain". It takes those arriving and departing on a short journey into the fabulous, preternatural mountain world. Figures unexpectedly peek out in hollows and niches, the rough rock faces and the ground become starry or wintry landscapes, accompanied by vivid, rhythmically pulsating images. The music deepens this sensory experience, and enchantingly, the sounds blend into the soundscape of the actual mountain realm.

Tweaklab was commissioned with the media technical planning of the seven synchronous projections, one of which travels with the inclined elevator, and ten monitors, in addition to their programming and installation.
