William Kentridge

The South African William Kentridge is one of the most significant contemporary artists. He is working interdisciplinarily with painting, drawing, animation and theater staging.

In the large overview exhibition "A Poem That Is Not Our Own", early drawings and cinematic works can be seen alongside many more recent creations, some of which are being shown for the first time in Europe. Particularly impressive is the 48-meter wide video projection "More Sweetly Play the Dance", a procession of silhouetted figures accompanied with music by a South African brass band.

Tweaklab was commissioned with the entire media technical planning and installation of the audiovisual works. In addition, we processed some of the exhibition media in our digital laboratory.
