During a deep life crisis, the Bauhaus student Ré Soupault (1901-1996) came to Basel in 1948. She had lived in Berlin, Paris, Tunis and New York, while working as an experimental filmmaker, fashion designer and photographer. In Basel, she embarked on a new career, working in radio and translating the writings of Romain Rolland, among others. The valuable manuscripts of Romain Rolland are kept in the University Library of Basel. Her different phases of life and work are impressively arranged in the exhibition "It was high time..." in the Main Library, UB.
Tweaklab was commissioned with the planning and installation of the media stations.
