With the precision of the Swiss railway system, on June 1st 2016 the Gotthard base tunnel opens its doors. After the first detonation 17 years ago the inauguration of the longest railway tunnel world wide will take place. Rightly said it is a true masterpiece of innovation and precision.
During the opening ceremony on five video stations historic films and animated photography are on display and two films are projected onto wagons, such as the photo series of Adolphe Braun "Zur Entstehung der Gotthardlinie" around 1872-1885, "Winterliche Gotthardfahrt" from 1939, "Der Ruf des Südens" from 1953, "Streckenwärter im Gotthard-Tunnel" from 1961, amongst others. The historic significant film material was arranged by the foundation "Stiftung Historisches Erbe" of the Swiss Federal Railways, called SBB Historic.

Tweaklab was commissioned to cut the historic films, to animate the photography, to implement the texts and to encode the videos, as well as with the media planning and the installation of the seven media stations.
