In autumn 2019, the 1000-year anniversary of the consecration of Basel Cathedral will be celebrated. To mark the occasion, the Basel Historical Museum is showing a special exhibition at the Kunstmuseum Basel, in which the rule and culture of Emperor Henry II is illuminated in several perspectives.
Tweaklab planned and installed two projections in the exhibition:
A large wall projection shows what Basel looked like around 1019 and compares images from the past with today in animated sequences.
Furthermore, a cinema has been set up in which a film tells the story of the cathedral’s treasure. Eva Wannenmacher acts as speaker, Tweaklab implemented the audio editing.
