The touring exhibition "GLOBAL HAPPINESS: What do we need to be happy?" by the Swiss development organisation Helvetas tackles the question of what makes people – here and around the world – happy and how they can live together in a world of limited resources. Thus it combines reflection on happiness and satisfaction with the global UN goals for sustainable development.
The entertaining and educational exhibition is designed as a garden landscape: six garden cabins display different aspects of "sustainable happiness".

At the entrance, all visitors receive a plant seed bag equipped with an RFID tag. Questions can be answered at various touchscreen stations, on the basis of which the personal level of happiness is quantified at the end of the exhibition. The challenge with the programming was to directly save the answers on the chip.
In one cabin, in a video portrait, one encounters a young minimalist who owns only 100 things; in another pavilion, on four synchronised screens, people from Switzerland, Mali, Guatemala and Bhutan tell each other what makes them personally happy.
The drawing of a district in Santiago de Chile can be seen on a wall. By touching hotspots, this is brought to life with a projection. The individual animated sequences show possibilities for a neighbourhood worth living: Affordable living space, urban gardening and street art, for example, are mentioned.

Tweaklab was commissioned with the planning, programming and installation of the entire media technology in the exhibition.
