Games

Musée National de Prangins

Fortnite, Mario Bros. and Minecraft are known around the world. Games, the new temporary exhibition at Château de Prangins tells the story of video games from their origins in the 1970s to the present day. It adopts a historical and technological perspective. It also gives visitors the chance to play on old computers and obsolete game consoles.

The task of Tweaklab was to make older games playable with the original interface and to search for original hardware. The video games were adapted for exhibition use, for example, the start of the game was simplified so that visitors to the exhibition can quickly get into the game. All games were ported to Linux, the network-based games are accessed via a Linux server.
For the game station with VR glasses, shapely and practical holders were produced, encased with a pad to protect the players.
The entire media technical planning, the programming for the exhibition and the installation was carried out by Tweaklab.
