Fake. Die ganze Wahrheit
Stapferhaus Lenzburg

The first exhibition "Fake" in the new building of the Stapferhaus near the Lenzburg train station is about the truth.

Tweaklab was commissioned with the media technical planning, programming and synchronisation of the audio and video stations, as well as with the installation of the media hardware.

At the beginning of the exhibition the visitors are given an introduction to the "Office of the Whole Truth", an authority created by the Stapferhaus. The chief officer speaks to the guests on a 11.5 metre wide screen, which was realised with two projectors, edge blending and 4-channel sound.

After that, the visitors to the museum enter the office hallway and from there can freely visit all the exhibition rooms. Next to the doors of the individual departments an official, who introduces the next office, can be seen and heard on a screen.

In the "Central Lie Contact Point" the visitors are asked to get to the bottom of the newly arrived made-up stories. They select packages of fabricated stories, scan the integrated RFID chip of those packages, and give their personal assessment on several touchscreens. For groups there is a tablet available for the assessment. The inputs are stored on a server, and the ensuing evaluation can be seen on a projection.

In the "Department of Strategic Deception" the guests watch on twelve video stations with handsets, how animals trick and deceive.

Also in the "Special Department of Lie Education" you can hear on audio stations everyday episodes of deception in the lives of parents and teachers. Furthermore, the doping confession of a top athlete can be watched on a touchscreen.

In another room, the "Commission for Credibility" is housed. The associates of an eight-member commission, consisting of a judge, a journalist, a priest and a doctor among others, can be seen at the same time on eight projections, and they discuss and debate on their professional handling of lies. English and French speaking visitors follow the discussion on handsets with synchronously played voice over.
