Baobab Books

This year the multi media project FAiRE, which promotes reading to children, took place again based on the children's book "Das machen wir" (That's what we're doing). It tells in many images the story about the daily routine of the people in India and the tradition of the Warli. The children in primary school engaged with the book and created their own stories through language, noise and drawings. In the end each element was put together into a multimedia installation which was orchestrated by the children and which brought their stories to sound.

Martina Jung and Kaspar Hochueli from Tweaklab overlooked the pupil's productions during this creative week. They've worked on the sound recordings and the sound design of the audio recordings and in the end the sound layers and the interactive touchscreen application were merged together.  The presentation of the developed works was the highlight of the project.
